1.Improvement of the yield of agricultural production
Indigenous farmers in Guatemala and Panama have implemented techniques to improve agricultural production yields, including crop diversification and associations of species resistant to climate change, which allow the sustainability of soil, water and biodiversity resources, in the Mayan region. Kaqchikel, Q'eqchi' and Garífuna from Guatemala, and Guna from Panama.
2.Enhancement of protein production
Indigenous fisherwomen in Guatemala and Panama have implemented techniques to improve protein production in spawning areas in mangroves and coral reefs in the Maya-Q'eqchi' and Garífuna regions of Guatemala and the Guna of Panama.
3.Establishment of climate information early warning systems
Distinction Centers have established climate information early warning systems through mobile phone networks and radio communication stations, aimed at indigenous farmers and fishermen, of calendrical utility for their production systems.
4.Capacity building
Indigenous organizations in Guatemala and Panama have strengthened their capacities to conduct processes of socialization of the results of the action at the local, regional and international levels and manage financing to multiply or scale up good practices.
