La Paz, Lima and Quito, October 23, 2020 (IICA). Professionals from institutions allied to the "Potato, Family, Climate" project of the Euroclima+ Programme successfully completed the second module
on the Participatory Approach in Production Chains - PAPC within the framework of the Virtual Training Programme "Methodologies for linking family farming to markets".
The participants highlight the quality of the contents and the exchange of experiences that enrich their knowledge.
The participants highlighted the synchronous and asynchronous learning activities for the technical quality of the contents developed in the learning units, the facilitators, and the methodology that helped link the concepts developed with their professional activities.
Susana Mejillones, specialist in Agricultural Development at HELVETAS, highlights the updating of knowledge "in the face of new contexts and transformations in the production chains, this space is highly relevant because it articulates three elements: experience and existing evidence of the use of these methodologies, teachers with a lot of experience and bibliographic material".
The Virtual Training Programme "Methodologies to link family agriculture with markets" aims to strengthen the capacities of territorial actors linked to the project, with the objective that this group of professionals in the short or medium term can become the trainers who can apply and transfer the methodological steps and tools to producers and other local actors of potato-based agri-food systems (family agriculture) in Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru, so that they in turn can link to markets in a more dynamic and effective way.

"With the different spaces for exchange such as the work forums and the live training sessions, we have promoted the exchange of knowledge about the experiences of the participants in the three countries," said Andrea Enriquez, coordinator of the Virtual Training Programme at IICA Ecuador.
Daniela Montaño, consultant for the implementation of commercial innovation actions at IICA, highlights the "knowledge of the initiatives, projects and programmes that are being implemented in other countries, because it strengthens my creative and innovative capacity, since it allows me to broaden my vision and reinforce the knowledge received".
