In her presentation, Ms. Carriquiry reported that this project works with 52 livestock farming families linked to 6 Rural Development Societies in the regions of Sierras del Este and Basalto, with the support of the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA) of Uruguay. She highlighted the main expected impacts of the project: to increase the climate resilience of family livestock farmers through the implementation of best livestock farming practices under the co-innovation approach; to contribute to Uruguay's Nationally Determined Contribution, in terms of mitigation (reduction of Greenhouse Gas emissions per unit of product) and adaptation to climate change; and to generate lessons learned that contribute to the construction of rural extension processes in Uruguay and South America..

To finish, Mrs. Marita González and Mr. Rosalino Bonini, family livestock producers who are beneficiaries of the Resilient Family Farming project, gave their testimony on how they are living the experience in the territory. They stressed that for their organisation, the project has been an opportunity for livestock farming families to access tools and knowledge that help them to produce better and preserve natural resources and the great biodiversity of the natural countryside, through the support of technicians for better management of livestock farms. Uruguay has great potential to stand out in the world as a quality food producer, building resilience to climate change and conserving natural resources for future generations.
