Energy Efficiency
Improving energy efficiency is one way to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions
The actions financed under this component aim to support countries in their efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change in the energy sector, in accordance with the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) assumed under the Paris Treaty. The projects financed through this component are aimed at identifying and financing initiatives that help strengthen capacities, institutions, public policy regulatory frameworks and monitoring systems that promote energy efficiency.
The aim is to strengthen the institutional, legal, and regulatory frameworks as well as the instruments and capacities that promote energy efficiency
The "Energy Efficiency" component has a budget of approximately 10 million Euros to carry out actions in the 18 Latin American countries covered by the EUROCLIMA+ programme.
