On Thursday, 10 February 2022, a webinar open to the whole community was held to present the study "Background and recommendations for the development, updating and sustainability of Long-term Climate Strategies in Latin American countries". The meeting consisted of a virtual exchange session where we addressed information on the main aspects to take into account when developing a Long Term Climate Strategy (LTCS), existing experiences from which countries in the region can draw and the current situation and prospects of long-term planning processes.
Through the project Articulating Global Agendas from the Local Level, it has been possible to conserve and restore biodiversity and reduce the risk of disasters in the two countries. In addition, 1,205,098 citizens have benefited.
The country presents the diagnosis and roadmap for the development of the ED2050 Strategy, which has been supported by the EUROCLIMA+ programme.
