Madrid, December 4 - The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the highest decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The twenty-fifth meeting, organised and chaired by Chile, has been taking place since December 2 and will culminate on December 13 in Madrid, Spain.
This edition of the Conference has a very clear purpose: to call on countries to raise climate ambition and take action for the climate. The climate crisis cannot wait.
In this context and under the framework of the meeting, the Climate Governance component of the European Union’s EUROCLIMA+ Programme - implemented by UN Environment, ECLAC, FIIAPP and GIZ- has been developing a series of activities to generate spaces for the exchange of experiences between the countries of Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean on issues of financing, public policy and climate change, in addition to publicising the actions carried out in the region under the framework of the programme.
