On Thursday 02 June 2022, the 28th virtual exchange session of the Community of Practice for Climate Policy Monitoring and Evaluation (CdPMyE[1])
was held under the title "Climate Impact Loss and Damage Assessment - Part 4". The session, the fourth in a series that will address this topic, aimed to continue the presentation of methodologies and experiences in loss and damage assessment in the region. Two methodologies were presented: Jimy Ferrer, Economic Affairs Officer, ECLAC Climate Change Unit, presented the methodology for the costs of inaction, and Omar Bello, ECLAC Focal Point for Disasters, presented the methodology for the assessment of damages and losses. The sequence was completed with the presentation of the experience of Uruguay by Juan Labat of the Ministry of Housing, Land Planning and Environment.
