These interventions include a community consultation process in informal settlements for the development of climate action plans, urban agroforests and gardens, greening and establishment of parks and public spaces across the city, a green corridor linking the city of Contagem with Belo Horizonte.

The Regional Meeting on Climate Change and Gender Equality will be held virtually through various sessions throughout the month of September 2021. These sessions will showcase experiences, good practices, challenges and opportunities for integrating gender equality into climate action in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and the roadmap of the Gender Action Plan 1 (GAP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Este evento pretende visibilizar los esfuerzos desde países en la región para actualizar sus compromisos climáticos en sus contribuciones determinadas a nivel nacional (NDC) que, incluso en el contexto de pandemia, aumentan su ambición para cumplir las metas climáticas del Acuerdo de París.

MOVE presenta el estudio “Movilidad Eléctrica: Avances en América Latina y el Caribe cuarta edición” que resalta las tendencias en la región en torno a esta tecnología.

La unidad de cambio climático del Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA) para América Latina y el Caribe y el Fondo Global para la Adaptación Basada en Ecosistemas (ABE), para dialogar acerca del Fondo Global para la Adaptación Basada en Ecosistemas y las barreras para implementar Soluciones Basadas en la Naturaleza en América Latina y el Caribe.

Este webinar permitirá por una parte conocer el avance comparativo de las experiencias de Asociatividad municipal en Argentina y Paraguay. Por otro lado, conocer las lecciones y aprendizajes que se extraen de la experiencia desarrollada en Centroamérica en el desarrollo de mancomunidades.

Con el objetivo de explorar los avances que América Latina y el Caribe ha logrado en materia de economía circular, compartir experiencias entre países y discutir sobre los principales desafíos en la política pública para avanzar hacia una mayor inserción de la economía circular, la CEPAL, la Presidencia de la COP25, y el Programa EUROCLIMA+
