The issue of climate finance and in particular the preparation of bankable climate projects is key to the implementation of the NDCs.
To address these needs, bankable climate project formulation courses are being prepared to serve the programme's partner countries. This will seek to facilitate access to climate finance and private investment for implementing the priorities in the NDCs of the countries in the region. As part of the process of these courses, thematic pilot activities will be implemented to test their approach and operation.
The main objective is to strengthen the capacities of the EUROCLIMA+ countries in the area of "development and structuring of bankable climate project portfolios". For this purpose, training programmes open to public officials and other key actors from Latin American countries will be carried out.
