The vision of the region will be responsible for guiding the conversation of participants at the global level, with live streaming of the activities as part of the global programme, which can be followed at https://transportweek.org/ upon registration. The theme Transport in a Changing Climate - Climate Change and International Agreements will be the common thread of the day.

The day will conclude with the session , Helping Cities Adapt to Climate Change, where we will discuss tactical urbanism as a powerful tool to help cities adapt to climate change. Successful cases of urban adaptation will be shared using methodologies that have an impact on public health and safety, physical and psychological well-being, ecological connectivity, liveability and social organisation for aesthetic improvement of the landscape to produce resilient, inclusive and recreational spaces.
Stories and cases of success for cities in Latin America
Throughout the Week, the TCCW will have other sessions with a Latin American vision focused on planning, national transport policy, public transport, last mile and funding opportunities.
On Monday 9 May, we will present the global and Latin American agenda of the Transport and Climate Change Week 2022 in person in Bogota and with virtual transmission. After this presentation, we will have a panel to discuss and make visible some of the challenges in Colombian cities regarding the mobility of care, which is mostly assumed by women in the city, all from a gender perspective. Success stories and tools for project management and leadership of public policies that have contributed to the construction of a more equitable mobility system will be presented.
On Tuesday 10 May, in the session Descarbonising Last Mile Logistics in Latin American Cities ,representatives of cities in the region will discuss and share their experiences in addressing the challenges of city logistics from the public administration through examples and ongoing projects. This discussion will enrich knowledge about the decarbonisation of logistics.
Later, in the session Urban mobility as an opportunity for a sustainable recovery, two studies on sustainable recovery in Latin America will be presented, followed by a presentation of the actions carried out by TUMI (Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative) in the region.
Towards the end of the day, in the session On the Road to the Digitalisation of Active Mobility, experts and officials will share the challenges, opportunities and benefits of developing new actions to digitalise active mobility in three countries of the region.
To close the week, on Thursday 12 May we will have the hybrid session Global Drivers for Sustainable Mobility, where Transport Week correspondents from Africa, Asia, Latin America and South-eastern Europe will exchange information on the hottest topics, the most pressing issues, and the latest innovations in sustainable transport in each region.
Afterwards, in the session The DOs and DON'Ts of bankable projects at least two cities will present their urban mobility projects with technical criteria for bankability, which will be discussed from two perspectives: the city and the banks.
