The digital meeting was organized by AIDER together with the Forests, Biodiversity and Ecosystems sector under the framework of the "Sowing and Harvesting Water" project.
"Ancestral knowledge transferred from indigenous Peruvians to Costa Rican farmers".
The conversation took place on August 14, and was organized by the Association for Research and Integrated Development (AIDER) and the Forests, Biodiversity and Ecosystems sector of EUROCLIMA+.
The objective of this conversation was to share the results of the knowledge transfer that the project "Water Sowing and Harvesting, Water Services Canon and Recognition of Payment for Environmental Services, under the framework of South-South Cooperation" is promoting for the construction of reservoirs in Guanacaste, Costa Rica and Piura, Peru, from the protagonists themselves.
The project also aims to call for technical and specialized dialogue on the experience of employing nature-based solutions, which are short-term, low-cost and highly effective alternatives for improving water availability and food security for indigenous and farming communities in Peru and Costa Rica.
