The Unit for Regional Programmes Latin American and Caribbean of the European Commission’s Directorate–General Development and Cooperation - The Directorate General for Development and Cooperation (EuropeAid) of the European Commission is responsible for managing the EUROCLIMA programme. This involves ensuring coherence between the various components of the EUROCLIMA programme and the involvement of all countries in Latin America.
Moreover, EuropeAid, supported by the Technical Assistance, implements parts of Components 1 and 2. EuropeAid's responsibilities include:
• Organize seminars and workshops, facilitate interactive discussions and existing networks, carry out communication and visibility activities, at all levels, with the aim of supporting the structured political dialogue on climate change to raise awareness and advocacy and to strengthen institutional capacity, knowledge and visibility.
• Develop market demand assessments and financing plans for investments in a strategic set of “no-regrets” measures for specific sectors through pilot cases
• Ensures visibility of EUROCLIMA via the web site, and paper and electronic publications, among others.
