Development of the action plan to prevent and address forced migration caused by the effects of climate change in Peru.

Derived from the commitments established in Peru's CC Framework Law and its regulations, MINAM is coordinating the development of an action plan to prevent and address forced migration caused by the effects of climate change in Peru.

The development of this plan, with a multi-level, multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder approach, will help to reduce pressure on infrastructure and ecosystems, while preventing and avoiding potential social conflicts.

Moreover, social, educational and health services will be prepared to respond to a latent reality: the migration of women, indigenous populations and rural farming communities.
