Políticas climáticas justas y efectivas: involucramiento de los pueblos indígenas

La participación de los pueblos indígenas en la acción climática es ampliamente reconocida como un elemento crucial para formular políticas incluyentes y efectivas. Ello no sólo se debe a que los pueblos indígenas reciben impactos relativamente mayores, resultantes de los efectos del cambio climático y la pérdida de biodiversidad, sino también porque poseen conocimientos, tecnologías y prácticas tradicionales para la mitigación y adaptación ante el cambio climático.

Esta publicación analiza experiencias que ha impulsado EUROCLIMA+ en la región que buscan, por un lado, promover su participación como parte de los procesos de formulación de políticas públicas en el ámbito climático y, por otro lado, rescatar y revalorizar sus conocimientos y prácticas tradicionales para un abordaje más efectivo y que refuerce su resiliencia.
